The green roof opens from her office located in a three story building in Brooklyn, NY. The client asked to be able to recline outside on the green roof, enjoy a colorful view regardless of the seasons and the privacy afforded. KaN Landscape designed a green roof/pocket garden where the intensive planting between the skylights allows a great diversity of plants while providing significant water retention. The recycled lumber deck with its colorful metal planters offers a playful and structured space. When walking on the stepping stones among the grasses, ferns and flowers one is transported to a wild, natural experience.
